Macabre, horror, and death are on the menu today as MORTUARY GHOUL drags their debut full-length from the blood-stained floors of the butcher shop to serve up ‘Wear Your Face: Corpse Exhumation Redux’.
Fueled by a dark obsession with infamous figures like Ed Gein and horror classics such as ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ (1974), ‘Deranged’ (1974), and ‘Psycho’ (1960), MORTUARY GHOUL constructs a sonic slaughterhouse, delivering ten hammer blows of crushing brutal death metal, capable of grinding any listener’s head into head cheese.
Originally recorded as the ‘Corpse Exhumation’ EP in 2022, ‘Wear Your Face: Corpse Exhumation Redux’ is part morgue and part butcher shop, that includes three new tracks straight from the killing room floor, plus a full remix and remaster by Wes Mousseau at Bone Temple, and nightmarish artwork inspired by ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, courtesy of Julian Mortuus
